Visual Phonics
The Des Moines Public Schools' Deaf Education Department utilizes Visual Phonics with students as a method of representing English sounds. It consists of 46 different hand cues and symbols to represent English phonetics. These hand cues can be used during phonics, spelling, and speech/language.
